To complete the shared application, you will need:
- A valid email address for each applicant.
- A valid government-issued photo ID for each applicant.
- A smart phone to scan each applicant's ID and face.
- A credit/debit card to pay marriage license fees.
Most applicants pay $71.75.

The Utah Marriage Commission provides free podcasts, webinars, courses, assessments, handbooks, and more.
- Each applicant will fill out their portion of the same marriage license application.

- Receive an email with instructions for using your license.
- When your license is issued, you'll be directed to the Officiant Information page.
- From there you can send an email to the person performing your ceremony.
- You can also print the Officiant Worksheet if it is requested by your officiant.

- Your certificate is proof of marriage for name changes and other benefits.
