KOI (Kind Of Instrument) Codes and Groups

Every document recorded at the Utah County Recorder's office contains a Kind of Instrument (KOI) code which describes the type of document and its purpose. Because there are many different KOI codes, it is useful when searching to group them together by basic type and purpose such as documents relating to Mortgages, documents that convey title, etc. The Utah County Recorder's office has set up the following KOI Code Groups to aid in searching for documents: (You may click on the KOI Code Group description to see exactly which document KOI codes are part of the group).
