Marriages using Utah County marriage licenses must be solemnized by an authorized officiant who is physically present in the State of Utah at the time of the solemnization.
Under Utah law, this includes individuals authorized by a religious denomination, certain public office holders (such as Judges or Mayors) specifically listed in Utah Code 30-1-6, or designees of the County Clerk.
Designees of the County Clerk and some public officials willing to solemnize marriages are listed here as a courtesy. They are not employed by or affiliated with the Utah County Marriage License Office. Contact them directly to discuss scheduling and fees.
If you want your marriage solemnized by a Deputy Clerk employed by the marriage license office, you can schedule a ceremony.
If you want to become a county clerk designee, you can become an officiant.
