Amelia Powers Gardner has a rich and diverse professional background with over 15 years of experience in the private sector. Her expertise lies in engineering, manufacturing, and business development. She had the opportunity to work with Caterpillar, where she garnered vast experience across various regions.

Later, Amelia transitioned to public service, serving as the Utah County Clerk/Auditor. In this capacity, she introduced significant changes and innovations. Notable among her accomplishments was the launch of the first-ever completely online marriage license portal. She also pioneered the initiative of allowing people with disabilities to vote using blockchain technology. Moreover, Amelia implemented performance-based budgeting to enhance efficiency.

Now, in her role as a Utah County Commissioner, Amelia remains a staunch advocate for innovation and efficiency in government. She envisions introducing similar transformative improvements in this capacity. Beyond her official roles, Amelia's professional identity extends to being a community leader, business consultant, disruptive technology advocate, and a leader in government innovation. She also mentors career-oriented women, highlighting her commitment to uplifting others in their professional paths.

Amelia Powers Gardner was born and raised in Utah County. As she grew older, she ventured across the Midwest, southern US, and Canada for her career pursuits. After her travels, she found her way back home to Utah County. Amelia pursued her undergraduate studies at Weber State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology. Amelia currently resides in Pleasant Grove, UT with her husband Tobin. Together, they are the proud parents of six children.
